Stuart is the Principal Advanced Instructor at the Yorkshire Riding Center.
"As well as the training that I provide at the YRC, I give regular clinics in North and West Yorkshire and South-West Cumbria. Here, I work with riders competing in dressage and eventing as well as riders from local riding clubs and riders who, in general, wish to gain a greater knowledge to work with their horses and have a better understanding of their needs.
My training philosophy is one of mutual co-operation between trainer, rider and horse. Thus being able to set out an individual programme to enable goals and ambitions to be clearly achieved."
Do you need help planning a progressive programme for you and your horse?
"Then I can provide personal training on a regular basis for you and your horse, to motivate you with a clear direction to achieve your goals and ambitions."
Initially working at the Yorkshire Riding Center as its stable manager, but progressively finding myself training more and more riders, as a result I made the move into full time training over 20 years ago.
I was very much involved in the day to day training of students who were primarily at the Y.R.C. training towards British Horse Society exams from Stage One Level up to and including B.H.S. Instructor Level.
I have also enjoyed working with many different types of horses, training them from the early stages of being broken in through to advanced levels, particularly in dressage. I continue to do so with a number of exciting horses and their talented riders.
I have trained with a number of well respected trainers including Michel Assouline, Lady Elizabeth Joicey, Jennie Loriston-Clarke and Baron Hans Von Blixen-Finecke.
My training philosophy is one of mutual co-operation between trainer, rider and horse. Thus being able to set out an individual programme to enable goals and ambitions to be clearly achieved.
I provide dressage training and clinics of all disciplines in various parts of the North of England.
